The solarium is the perfect place for a morning coffee and pastry or one of our delicious afternoon teas. A lighter menu offering your favourite dishes is available in the bar throughout the day.

Head Chef Tim Cooper has Years of experience
Tim’s journey through the catering industry has been one of dedication, skill, and a relentless pursuit of culinary excellence. His career began as a student chef at The Yarrow, where he quickly demonstrated his passion for food and his commitment to mastering the craft. Through hard work and determination, Tim progressed through the ranks, gaining valuable experience and honing his skills. From his early role as a commis chef, he advanced to Chef de Partie (CDP) and then to Junior Sous Chef, where he further refined his leadership abilities and culinary techniques.
Eager to expand his expertise, Tim took on the role of Head Chef at Reign Bar and Lounge in Broadstairs, where he embraced the challenge of leading a kitchen and developing innovative menus. His time there allowed him to grow both creatively and professionally, strengthening his ability to manage a team and deliver outstanding dining experiences.
Tim’s passion for The Yarrow never faded, and he eventually returned as a Sous Chef, bringing with him a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective. His dedication and leadership did not go unnoticed, and he has now stepped into the role of Head Chef.
Excited for the future, Tim is committed to crafting exceptional dishes that delight guests while fostering a supportive and inspiring environment for his brigade of junior chefs and students. He is passionate about mentoring the next generation of culinary talent, ensuring that The Yarrow continues to be a place of creativity, excellence, and unforgettable dining experiences.

Our Head Chef and his devoted team create and develop an exceptional, seasonal dining experience with some amazing dishes and flavours…
We also offer an optional wine flight created by our in house sommelier for those of you who really want to make this dining experience a memorable one.
Our tasting menu’s are set menu’s and cannot be adapted. We unfortunately are unable to cater for any dietary requirements or allergies with our tasting menu’s.

Our Traditional afternoon tea
At The Yarrow Hotel, guests can indulge in one of our traditional afternoon teas, with a selection of savoury snacks, alongside a range of mouth-watering scones and homemade cakes.
Served from 2.30pm until 5pm, afternoon tea can be taken in either our wonderfully warm solarium, or snug lounge where you'll be surrounded by history and character allowing you to enjoy every moment of the experience.
All our afternoon tea delights are freshly made by our aspiring pastry chefs working under the watchful eye of Head Chef Louis Hudson.
If you fancy something a little more luxurious, why not add a glass of Champagne to the traditional tea?
